I absolutely love quality visual effects. Some people have been adamantly against any CGI, but I’m a firm believer that as the technology progresses, it becomes a more and more viable option for filmmaking. In some films, it has even reached the point where it’s nearly impossible to tell there is any computer imaging at all.
A wonderful example of that is The Great Gatsby. This visual effects video was posted on the web a few months ago, but in case you missed it then, you should really check out just how much quality imaging made up the film. Basically everything you thought was real wasn’t. Just another reason why this should be remembered as one of the top movies of 2013.
